January 2008

I <3 food too much, too much, especially the fattening food!

I have been hearing about how good this Banana Leaf rice in bangsar is, and I finally had the chance to eat there. The shop is located next to the big AmBank, like this.

nirvana banana leaf rice

Look at the shop! It is really crowded. I had to wait for seat for a while.

variety

But if you look at the variety of food and the curry they have, it is all worth the fat!

banana leaf rice

Omg, i feel hungry looking at this picture again! I mixed all the curry! And, there is also cucumber, some melon and fried bitter gourd like tempura. And sambal long beans and fried chili. A set like this, default set without meat costs RM5.

fried sotong

We ordered one fried sotong as well, this photo is abit out focus cause I shot it too close. I don’t know how much is this, but the bill came to RM30 for 3 of us with 3 drinks.

I WANNA GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!

For the second time, I revisited Sakae Sushi in The Curve, with an old old friend.

After ordering the food and pressing the ‘confirm’ button, suddenly, all we saw was this! Duhhhhhhhhhhh then the waiter had to come to take order manually.

Photo0252

This is some salmon wrap, RM5.90. Not too bad.

Photo0254

This is pumpkin mushi, but it tasted like mushroom only!

Photo0255

I still prefer this the best!

Photo0256

Their famous softshell crab, too bad it wasn’t freshly fried, abit oily though.

Photo0257

Ahh this is freshly friend, fried tofu, crispy on the outside, soft n hot on the inside.

Photo0258

Their special sashimi platter. Although the prawns look pathetic, good thing it was quite fresh! I think this is RM26.90.

Photo0259

Another salmon roll temaki. I like this!

Photo0260

This is some sesame roll with temaki, I don’t like sesame, but, the softshell crap inside is crispy!

The whole bill came to something less than RM80, i was bloated when i left the shop.

Few days ago, I went to this quite unique shop for something that I have never eaten in my life before, which was the, sharkfin mee sua. Mee sua is something like..noodles, but it’s not the big fat noodles, it is…slim and slippery.

Photo0243

This shop is located in between ss2 and seapark. Behind the Siamese house or something.

The quite-obvious signboard.

shop

The shop looks quite clean although it is quite old.

kerabu

For appetizer, we had this mango kerabu, quite special to see it ia a Teo Chew restaurant. RM8 for this, hmmm not bad but it’s quite expensive in this type of shop.

sharkfin meesuah

This is their specialty- sharkfin meesua. There are only few strands of fins in the mee sua. There are very fresh prawns, some mushrooms, crabstick and etc in the bowl.  This bowl cost RM10/pax. I think it is enough to fit a person if you are not too big eater. And for this, it tastes even better when you mix with some vinegar. I will definitely visit the shop again!

The add of the shop is:

33, Jalan SS2/30, 47300 PJ.

On the last day of last year, I applied and paid for the Tune card I applied. And after 7 working days, I finally collected my Tune card on 14/1/2008.

However, the itchy hand me,  failed to log into my account on 11/1/2008 ( last friday ) after 3 attempts. So, my account is blocked.

So, I immediately wrote to their customer service to request of unblock of my account on the same day. Sadly, after 3 days, my account is still locked! It is said that you need to log into your account to activate your card before you can use it. And within 21 days of your card issued, you need to use it at least don’t know how many times so that your card is not canceled or something.

Now, after 3 days, or maybe 4, I still have not heard from them. I think their customer service must be sleeping! I am really disappointed by their services, I have even emailed them twice! Can someone tell me what to do now?
