One fine day when I was hanging out in Pyramid, not knowing what to eat, we decided to explore the Asian Avenue on the…almost top floor to check out what they have. Remembering my bad experience at Gasoline, I did not even want to pass by there.
So, this time we chose a packed place for dinner, which is Ccozi & Friends (Best Korean Street Food). It is opposite Tako and Shi Lin (the XXXXXL chicken chop).

And hey there were quite a few Korean patrons to this place!

My dinner of the night. A combo of something like teriyaki chicken. It is like a big satay.

Comes with a tea (free refill), soup and a small plate of kimchi. The kimchi was tasty! Too bad it is such a tiny plate.
And the whole set is only RM9!

On a fine friday, a gang of us happily went lunch in One-Utama and i must admit it was a huge mistake of mine to suggest to try the Jack’s Place set lunch.
The friday’s menu, which include:
1. Fried dory
2. Chicken chop
3. Steak
Starting from RM15-RM19, inclusive of soup of the day, coffee/tea, maincourse, dessert. And little did i know that, the horror just began.

1. Soup was tasteless. I believe it was carrot soup. If you think the mushroom soup in Pizza Hut is bad, come try this. I took 2 sips and left it just there. Horrible.

2. The food presentation was bad! The color combination is bad bad bad! They could have used some green broccoli instead of this pale white cabbage? I lost my appetite on the spot. And my steak was fatty fat, fat! It was pretty tasteless on its own and I had to drown it with chili sos.

Other than my usual Teluk Pulai spot, I hardly eat bkt elsewhere. For a change of light bkt, think this is the place to go.

Even the shop name is easy to remember, Ah San. And it is right next to 747Â hawker center.

The rice is abit different from the normal oil rice. It is not yam, but it is something like herbal. One thing to compliment is their yau-char-guai. It is really crispy! Unlike the usually soft and cold one.

And the soup! It is so minimal and simple. When i was asked whether i wanted to add extra enoki mushrooms or fu-chuk or not, i said no coz i thought they come by default. But i was wrong! There was nothing else other than the lean pork ribs i ordered. Surprisingly, the soup is really light and sweet, with some strong herbal smell. No frill, but I enjoyed it!
Together with a pot of chinease tea, a meal for 2 was RM23. I would say it is not cheap considering that there is nothing else in the soup.

Yeah i know times are bad now, and eating out is expensive, especially if you want to go for some quality meal. So, I totally support the idea of home-cooked food! (although I barely cook. LOL)
Anyway, now we can DIY Ramlee burger at home too! And the healthier one!
p/s: This is definitely not an instant-fix for ramlee-desperate in the middle of night.

You will have to buy some chicken breast, mince it, then add some pepper + salt + soy sauce + sesame oil to marinate the chicken. I minced and seasoned my chicken a day earlier and kept in the fridge. Then, when you are about to fry the patty, mix some corn flour + oats into the minced chicken and mix well.

Then, heat up some oil and fry your patty! Drop your patty into the wok only when the oil is hot, otherwise the meat will stick to your wok. Press the patty with the ladder to flatten it so it will be cooked thoroughly.

Fried until golden brown. If you are not sure, you can poke the patty with your fork to check. If you can pull out your fork without meat sticking to it, it means that it is cooked!
Now, you have to prepare the bun.
