Food[11] Comments
Sunway Giza is apparently one of the hittest place in town – blooming with endless eateries. Other than the tall monster burger, there is Indonesian food too!

And one of the hidden gem I have discovered recently is this Waroeng Mas Timoer, serving quite authentic Indonesian cuisine. It is quite unique and not similar to Bali-bali chain kind of food.

Teh Botol Sosro -The famous drink in Indonesia.
I can’t quite describe the taste, to me it tastes like a mixture of gas-less Sarsi and Jasmine tea. The after-taste is quite strong.

Soup ekor or Buntut SapiÂ
The meat in the soup is tender, and the soup is light yet sweet. When I added a little bit of chili into the soup, it tasted even better with a zing!

The chili sauces available at the restaurant. Love the kicap one the most!

Appetizer - Grilled Sotong or Cumi Cumi
I really love this dish! There is a very nice fragrance of grilled and slightly burnt smell of the sotong that made it smell REAL good! And the sotong is springy and not rubbery at all!

Deep Fried Flying Fish – Ikan Kerapu Goreng
I have been reading and seeing so many pictures of this flying fish on the Bali posts from other blogs, now I can easily have it here without flying to Bali.
The meat is still fresh and juicy after being fried, and the batter tastes even better! I was told that the all the fish are bought from Selayang market to ensure the freshness of the fish.

Terung Goreng Balado
I am quite a fan of brinjal (although I am allergic to it, it makes my mouth itchy but I still eat it!). This is quite an easy to prepare dish at home, provided you have the right chilli to go with. The chili paste in this restaurant is so nice that you would rather eat it the restaurant than attempting to prepare at home! (more…)

Chinese[15] Comments
When I heard about the chance to have a tasting session at Mama Kitchen Puchong Branch, I was overjoyed as I always visit the branch in TTDI. No doubt, I was quite familiar with their menu already.

Will the Puchong outlet carry the same quality?
Let’s find out!

The bunting at the restaurant. I have never visited the one in Jalan Sultan though.

Here comes the star of the restaurant – Claypot Loh She Fun – RM7 (S) RM12 (M) and RM15 (L)

Ahh raw egg is a bliss, with minced meat overloaded is a double joy.
Mix everything together and you get a thick, nice meaty and eggy rat tail noodles.

Garlic Roasted Pork Wanton Noodle (烧肉é¢) – RM8 (S) RM12 (M) and RM16 (L)
Another favorite of mine is this roasted pork wanton noodle. There is no wanton in this, but it is loaded with caramelized roasted pork. It is sweet and crispy, and full garlic fragrance.

Assam Fish (亚三金凤鱼 ) – Seasonal price applies
The fish was really fresh! I remember seeing 6 fish in the fish tank when I sat down, but before I left, I counted again and only 5 were left. I wonder where the fish had gone to.
The assam gravy of this dish really triggered my appetite and white rice is definitely the dish’s best friend.

Life[14] Comments

I’ve just got Unifi installed about a month ago in TTDI. It’s Malaysia’s first fiber optic home broadband service. Actually, we have got it installed during the free installation month and it was really worth it. The whole installation process took almost one whole day with all the knocking and cabling in the house, and then finally the configuration.

See the download speed? Finally youtube is heaven now!
There are various packages offered for home use, VIP5, VIP10, and VIP20 (5Mbps, 10Mbps, 20Mbps). Although it’s claimed as “High Speed Broadband”, it is still “Low Speed” when compared with other developed countries in Asia Pacific.
Due to the fact that it’s only 20Mbps for the ‘premier’ package, there’s no real need for fiber optic. Unifi uses 2 different technologies depending on location. If no fiber optic is available in your area, they will use the existing copper line (VDSL), usually applicable for high rise buildings.

When I was still a student, my parents always made noise about how I used to hook to the phone and how high the phone bills were. In fact, until today, for International calls with the land line, it is still expensive.
Ever since I had a cell phone, I hardly use house phone anymore. And I can easily live without house phone. As time goes by, now we have so many choices to communicate with friends or relatives overseas. Skype, VOIP phone, and now we can even make calls on iTalk WHOA!

When I was busy preparing my wedding, I had a lot of phone calls back and forth with my aunt who was staying in Singapore because she was my makeup artist. Obviously my handphone bill shot sky high. But, thank goodness for iTalk WHOA! Now that I can call Singapore mobile numbers at only RM0.09 per minute.
