How time flies and it is time of the year again!
This year, Prince Hotel has specially setup counters at Eccucino featuring popular Malaysian dishes from various states and home-cooked kampung dishes.

One of my favorite stalls – The Kampung Style Hot Pot Soup, featuring Signature Beef Ribs and Oxtail with Root Vegetables and Spice.

Signature Beef Ribs and Oxtail with Root Vegetables and Spice
Gosh can you feel the beef ribs smiling at you, and the passion in cooking this? The broth is thick and extremely flavorful. Topped with fried shallots, and paired with tender beef ribs, ah it is a bliss on a cold and rainy day.

Tulang Rawan Masak Kuzi (Braised Beef Ribs Kuzi Style)
The braised beef ribs was one of the hits of the night too, the ribs were cooked to soft and tender, and I almost wanted to swallow the bones as well.

Nasi Briyani (Basmati Rice Cook in Briyani Style)
And oh, did I mention that the Tulang Rawan go very well with Nasi Briyani too?

Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak (Cat Fish Simmered in Fermented Durian Gravy)

Asam Laksa with assorted condiments
I love the asam laksa and it is definitely comparable to those famous stalls!

Nangka Muda Masak Ikan Masin (Young Jack Fruit with Salted Fish)

Ayam Perchik (Malay Style Roasted Chicken with Fresh Herbs)
Ayam Perchik is a MUST during the month of Ramadhan!

Seeing at it is almost 4pm now, let me show you my cravings right now!
Though Food Foundry has a decent selection of main courses, but you must NOT miss the the Mille Crêpe Cakes there.

Vanilla Mille Crêpe Cake (RM9)
My favorite has to be the Vanilla Mille Crêpe Cake. A small slice of cake carries tonnes of sweat in the process of making. Imagine arranging thousand layers of crepe just to bake this? If that’s not enough, in between the sheets of crepes, there are flavors spread on the crepes.
And when you bite into it, thousand layers of hardwork melts in your mouth. Ahh bliss! And sipping with a hot latte, I think my life is complete now.

Chocolate Mille Crêpe Cake (RM9)

Strawberry Mille Crêpe Cake (RM9)
As much as love strawberry the fruits, my favorite is still the original vanilla! Call me old fashioned, but yes I love vanilla!

Almond Tiramisu (RM11)
Almond Tiramisu is another hit for me, topped with crunchy almond, you can taste the cheese and the crisp of nuts in a single bite.

I have heard of the famous Buddha Jump Over wall at Loon Sing Restaurant in Nilai for some time already, and finally had a chance to visit! Since it was a family dinner, we ordered a 8-course meal for 10pax at RM718++ per table.

For those who have not been there in a long long time, the restaurant has moved to Nilai Convention Hall. Exit from Nilai toll, and you will see the signboard for left turning to the restaurant. Extremely easy to find. It is just about 2-3mins drive from Nilai toll.

Judging from the size and the decoration of the grand hall, I think they do have many businesses for wedding receptions.

Buddha Brother Jump Over The Wall
First dish served was Buddha Brother Jump Over The Wall. I wonder where the the ‘brother’ in the name came from, it probably means a smaller serving of Buddha Jump Over The Wall.

The abalone piece in the soup, there is also a piece of chicken, mushrooms, sharkfin, scallop.
The soup was sweet and I actually found it to be just quite ordinary. Not quite like the grand soup I had imagine. Their most expensive course meal is RM3030. So I guess that must be REALLY bombastic in ingredients.

Combination Platter ‘ Loon Sing’ Delight
Cold platter consisted of: fried spring roll, jellyfish, tofu and a meat.

Bronze Metal Award Winning ‘Dong Po Pork’
In the restaurant, there is a picture of Hugo Leong visiting the restaurant and some awards. And I am guessing this Dong Po Pork must be one of the award-winning dishes.
True that, the meat was tender and very flavorful. Paired with the bun and it was heavenly!

Steamed Pomfret with Sour Vegetable
The pomfret was quite fresh and fat.

Sometimes when people ask me where they should go for romantic dining that does not break the bank, novelty dining such as this Garden Lifestyle Store and Cafe will come to my mind.

Yes, Garden Lifestyle Store and Cafe has been opened in The Curve for quite some time. You can never miss this store because the deco is too pretty to be missed.

It is a great place for couples too because it is so romantic, you pay for the food, the environment and the music are complimentary.

Penley Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Phoenix 2007
What about a glass of wine for your date? Great idea isn’t it?

Don’t worry if you or your date are not good with alcohol, flower tea will do the romantic trick for you.

Look at how pretty the tea pot is! It makes me feel rich by just holding it.
