Ever since I came back from Korea, I think I love Korean cuisine more than ever now.
I wouldn’t miss out any chance of getting the Korean taste.
About 2 weeks ago, Cinnamon Coffee House in One World Hotel had Seoul Good Promotion, which Korean cuisine was served on the buffet menu featuring two guest chefs from Seoul Palace Hotel.

Before we adjourned to the dinner, we enjoyed a performance Samu Nori ( an 8-piece Korean percussion instrument performance). Don’t underestimate it! It was loud!

Dining area is actually VERY spacious! But do take note of: when you dine there, I suggest you pick the middle seats for the cooler air. Sitting at the corner can be really stuffy. And of course, sitting in the middle grants you easier access to the food!

Guest chefs Jang Yong-jun ans Jeon Dai-hwi making appearances all the way from Seoul Palace Hotel.

Glorious looking lamb cutlets.

What attracted me the most was actually the selection of desserts!
Not a huge fan of dessert but the cakes and pastries look really good.

See? You understand the meaning of huge selection now?

I have always been interested to try out Lebanese cuisine, as it sort of appears mysterious but at the same time intriguing to me.

I was glad I had the chance to fulfill my curiosity at Al-Amar Pavilion in conjunction of the month of MIGF (Malaysia International Gourmet Festival).

Their special menu for the month of MIGF (October).
Festival Menu
RM128++ per person with wine
RM98++ per person without wine

It’s one of a kind dinging experience as they have live band performing towards the night, and they even have belly dancers during the weekends!

Château Musar Jeune Rose 2007, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon
For the course dinner, with just additional RM30 you get wines, my choice was the famous rose wine.
It is different from other wines as it is slightly on the dry side, but it has a significant fragrance that you can’t get in any other wines.

Pita bread
For the starter, a basket of warm and absolutely fluffy pita bread was served. I swear this has got to be the best pita (naan) I have ever eaten in my life! I could even eat it plain. And oh, it is FREE too!

Cold Mezze Palette
The cold palette was a interesting combination.

From top left to bottom:
- Pink Hommos (Mashed Chick Peas, Sesame Seed Paste with A Touch of Our Special Spices, Lemon Juice and Olive Oil)
- Moutabbal with Avocado (Mashed Grilled Eggplant with Sesame Seed Paste, Lemon Juice Combined with Fresh Avocado and A Touch of Garlic Drizzled with Olive Oil)
- Rocket Beetroot Salad
Of the lot, my personal favorite is beetroot (though majority didn’t).
Moving on, the next 2 dishes is Hot Mezza Duo.

Soujouk
Soujouk is an interesting dish of having sausages placed on a quail’s egg and serve with pomegranate sauce.

Shrimp Falafel
Shrimp was everyone’s favorite as it was juicy prawn wrapped with crusty skin. Though it was deep fried but the prawn retained fresh and juicy.

Grilled Kafta
In the mains, there are 2 choices: Grilled lamb, or steamed chicken roll.
I strongly recommend Grilled Kafta, it is actually minced lamb placed on a bed of rosti. The lamb was very well marinated but it is not chewy at all. It was absolutely delicious!
It might look small in portion, but I assure you that if you complete the above dishes, you would be almost full at this point already.
