Warning: Heavily loaded with pictures!
I am not a big A1GP fan, but since I had a corporate suite ticket to watch it in airconditioned paddock area, and free flow of drinks and food, oh well, why not?
This is the new putrajaya highway, i have never ever seen a straighter highway in Malaysia than this.
We were given the free carpark ticket to park at the VIP area, it is just some steps away from the paddock. Our team malaysia truck is also there!
This is where we were seated, with all the sponsors.
It is quite a big area, where they place food in the middle of the hall.
Breakfast. I had like 20% of the food on the plate, since I had my breakfast already. The drink behind the plate is not a normal orange juice, it is champagne orange juice! My first time having a champagne. Yes, free flow of softdrinks, wines, whiskey and champagne!
Not long after I reached, lunch was served too! Look at the beautiful arrangement.
And some nutty cake. I am not a fan of desserts.
Roast duck also.
Wild mushroom soup! It is tasty!
12pm is the pit walk time. I stepped out from the air-con room and burnt myself under the hot sun. I wonder why the hot girl in the picture could walk and burn herself so steadily under the sun.
The malaysia pit! After burning myself and took some pics with the car,I couldn’t stand the hot sun anymore, so I had to walk back to the heaven, with food.
My lunch: The only thing nice in this plate is the cod fish, and the fruits. As for other food, oh ….well….
My bf’s plate: Nothing from the plate attracted me.
Dessert! They had someone there scooping ice cream for u, therefore absolutely no messy hands. Unfortunately, there was a cherry flavored ice cream in the cup, and I hate cherry. So….wasted.
Just when I was about to fall asleep, there was the drivers’ parade!
Shooting out from the glass: So many flaming ferraris!
And some other nice cars too!
I think fairuz fauzy is a really good driver, if it is not for the miscommunication, he could at least secure a 3rd or 4th place! Bad luck!
Look at the excited crowd. The grand stand is REALLY crowded. Some people even had to stand! I was at the roof top, trying to snap some pictures. (*the sun was killing me)
The best shot I could get in the limited time.
Moving back to the room, I had some salad.
And champange for my first time! It has such interesting taste, like sparkling white wine.
And there I ended my day at Sepang, with disappointment.
It certainly feels great to be an VIP!

Looks like you were most interested in food than the race itself
What disappointment you have?
With VIP seats, great food and champagne and nice desserts, what disappointment are you talking about? I wish I was there!!
Weh interesting wor. Wish I get VIP seat for F1.
Hi! Got your link from Monica site. Wow, good food and nice view of GP from Vip stand!
Sounds like you had a blast. I haven’t been to an A1GP race though I’ve been to the F1 race thrice.
slobbering…~.~ how was the race huh..
KS: haha actually i was there for the VIP treatment
well i was disappointed by the results!
foongpc: the result is disappointing
Che-Cheh: i wonder how to get VIP tics for F1, i have only been at the grandstand for F1 this year
peteformation: yeah the view is certainly great from the VIP area
Gallivanter: I guess i wouldn’t watch this A1 if its not for the VIP tics
justapple: well….the race was quite exciting i must say
Nice cars. Yes, being in Sepang is like being roasted. Not for those afraid of the sun.
Wow, so nice being a VIP! Nice food and great views!
waAAAhhhh…. *stares at food and VIP seating in envy..*
the food looks great, though, and it looks like you had a lot of fun!
Pixeldoll: sepang is really not a place for me
Neo: yeah VIP u know!
twosuperheroes: view is great, food is not that great
Monica: yeah yeah i had lots of fun there!
People go there for the match, but u go there for the food, hehe
Glad to see an A1GP ‘virgin’ giving feedback.
Fairuz was actually on track for 3rd if not 2nd(he was catching 2nd place guy quite rapidly) before the radio mix up.
Also it looks like you were in ‘Velocity’. If that is VIP than VVIP would be ‘Pangaea’ where the who’s who of the country were lounging and food nothing less than exquisite. You would expect nothing less than that for USD700 per head just for lunch.
For F1 it would much much harder to get in the ‘Paddock Club’ (A1GP Pangaea equivalent) A very fat wallet would be required. Also up close views to the race cars and team like in A1GP would be next to impossible.
Anyway I think most people found their first A1GP experience quite intriguing.
