The feature sets of Mediterranean Baked Fish.  A basic platter  is priced at RM13.90 while you add RM2.90 for additional toppings, such as: clams, mussels, calamari and shrimps.

Captain's Clam Chowder

Captain’s Clam Chowder @ RM 5.90.

In the chowder, you can taste chunks of potato and clams, and it is not watery like some mushroom soup. Love the thickness and how it is loaded with clams!

Pink Lemonade

Pink Lemonade @RM5.90.

I couldn’t figure out why is this drink pink. Is it in conjunction of Breast Cancer Awareness Month or it is just pure coincidence?

Ahoy Mediterranean with Baked Clams

Ahoy Mediterranean with Baked Clams @ RM13.90 + RM2.90 for clams as add-on.

Believe it or not, after downing in clam chowder, I had clams for my toppings too! Looking at the generous amount of clams, you can be ensured that you had your money back. I especially love the white dory fillet as it was really sweet (I have eaten bitter ones), and marinated with coriander and baked till it is juicy!

I literally drank the gravy till the last drop!

Austin Chase Outlet in The Gardens

Austin Chase is one of the coffee joint outlets in The Gardens.

It has similar concept to Starbucks, Coffeebean and etc.

But, what attracted to me was their Egg-cellent All Day Breakfast Deals!

All the set meals come with a free black coffee. But you can of course top up another RM5 to upgrade it to latte or frappe.

The bar where they prepare the beverages.

We ordered a set of Set 4 : Scrambled Egg with Hash Brown @ RM9.90.

For the hash brown lovers, you get 2 pieces of them!

Over the short weekend, I had a trip to Malacca with my girl friends, for food and fun.

We basically did not do much other than stuffing ourselves silly, which we had 5 stops within 2 meals.

The dinner:

1. Fried Carrot Cake @ Jalan Bunga Raya

fried carrot cake seller along Jalan Bunga Raya

We wanted to have some cholesterol surge and decided to stop by Jalan Bunga Raya for the famous night cockles stall.

Before we even stepped into the alley itself, we were attracted to this fried carrot cake. Without much hesitation, we placed our order.

fried carrot cake

Fried carrot cake with extra sambal and extra egg @ RM3.50. I thought the price was quite decent. I lurrrveee the egg and the choi-pok in the fried carrot cake! If only they can just sell carrot cake without the carrot cake.

2. Cockles Stall @ Jalan Bunga Raya

Cockles stall at Jalan Bunga Raya

We arrived just in time before the crowd started pouring in.

To be  honest, I felt rather gross staring at the mouldy and blackish walls while I was cracking the cockles. But fortunately I somehow conquered my fear with gluttony.

I love the sauce as it is a mixture of blended peanuts, lime, soysauce and sambal. Unique well with the cockles ;)

The cockles and la-la is RM1.50/plate. I don’t find the la-la as good as the cockles though.

3. Satay Celup Ban Lee Siang @ Jalan Ong Kim Wee

satay chelup

Needless to say, it is the hotspot for satay celup with the red @ RM0.50/stick and the white @ RM0.60/stick.

I have been there few times myself and I somehow felt that their variety has shrunk! Used to have a lot more back then. The plus point is, all the food is stored in the fridge so you need not worry about flies harassing the food.

Add: 45E, Jalan Ong Kim Wee, Melaka (06-284 1935). Open from 5.30pm to 12.30am. OFF Tuesday.

We headed back to A Famosa Resort after the satay celup. We were full to the brim! But we have already planned for our lunch the next day.

Piano

Getting comfortable either indoor and outdoor, if you are lucky, you can enjoy the performance by pianist too!

Ribena Blast @ RM11.90

Ribena Blast @ RM11.90

We ordered a Ribena Blast, and it is a blast indeed! Ice blended Ribena and lychee, with mixed fruits and nata-de-coco, I love it!

Soda Passion Fruit @ RM11.90

Soda Passion Fruit @ RM11.90

Soda drinks is also one of the hits, but I feel that the drink could be better if I can bite some real sour and crunchy passion fruit seeds in it too.

Tandoori Pita @ RM12.90

Tandoori Pita @ RM12.90

If you want to go light on dinner, Tandoori Pita is a good choice. Filled with roasted chicken breast, and wrapped in soft pita bread, it is a good combination especially if you spread some chili jam with it.

Spaghetti Vongole @ RM15.90

Spaghetti Vongole @ RM15.90

My favorite choice of spaghetti has to be this Vongole. Cooked with pesto sauce, it is rich in taste but not too overwhelming. But if only the clams could be replaced with the better quality ones, it would be perfect!

Flower pot @ RM29.90

Flower pot @ RM29.90

In the midst of dinner, you can buy a pot of flowers to impress your date too! Actually I was interested to get one to deco my office :D
