Mojo Cafe & Kitchen in SS2

Mojo Cafe & Kitchen has recently been opened in SS2 in a row with Station Cafe. Located on the 2nd floor, it is not hard to miss the big red Mojo Upstairs sign above a new 7-11, which is in the same row as MacDonald’s SS2.

Overview

The restaurant has a classic and antique feeling that makes you feel like home.

Interior design

The cabinets display the old-time household items that we used to see.

Classic irons

Old school iron anyone?

Soon, our appetizers were served.

Bruschetta RM7.90

Bruschetta RM7.90

Sliced Baguette  toasted with tomato, cheese and herb salsa, it makes a delicious bite before dinner.

Garlic Bread

Garlic Bread – RM5.90

This is my personal favorite as the fragrance of garlic complimented the crusty and crispy bread really well. Thumbs up!

Kaya Toast

Kaya Toast RM3.90

For the old school, you have a choice of homemade kaya toast. Absolutely loved the homemade kaya!

Moving on to the dinner, the main course selections are not exactly large, but it helps our mind to decide faster. We had the pleasure of sampling most of the hit items, but I shall rank the top 3 among all the dishes.

Crowd’s Top 3 Favorites:

Linguini Duck Aglio Olio RM18

#1 – Linguini Duck Aglio Olio RM18

Firstly, we don’t always get to see Aglio Olio with duck meat, secondly, this is really good!

Crispy duck skin and meat with linguini, (which you might think its bacon), tossed  in olive oil and chili flakes, it was so savory you can’t help but keep digging in.

Classic Chicken Chop RM13

#2 – Classic Chicken Chop RM13

Apparently, chicken chop is the top seller since launching. True enough, the chicken was pan-fried while retaining the juice and tenderness of the meat. Then served with fries and coleslaw. Yum!

Lamb Shank RM28

#3 – Lamb Shank RM28

If you look close enough, you will find a bulb of garlic on the plate. The lamb shank was stewed till soft and tender, you can easily put your fork to rip the meat without struggling with knife.

A good start to a weekend morning is when you know you can enjoy a relaxing and luxurious breakfast.

I made my way to Marmalade in Bangsar Village II.

In fact  I have been there a few times and love the place!

We ordered 2 sets of breakfast. A Hearty Brekkie @RM25, comes with a fresh orange juice and a choice of dark coffee/latte/cappuccino.

Hearty Brekkie @ RM25

It is quite a huge portion, comes with a choice of scrambled eggs/poached eggs/sunny side up, sauteed mushrooms, 2 sausages, baked beans, a piece of bread and beef bacon.

Yum yum! I love the sauteed mushrooms. This is the only breakfast set that comes with a hot drink AND a fresh orange juice.

Omelet @ RM19, comes with a fresh orange juice.

Underneath the scrambled egg, you can have 2 choices of fillings: I opted for beef bacon and mushrooms cause they are my favorite!

The portion is huge and it lasted me till dinner time :)

Creamy Mushroom Soup @RM8.80

Creamy Mushroom Soup @RM8.80

Don’t you just have to love the mushroom soup? It is pretty! Like latte. Love the thickness and bits of mushroom in the soup too. :D

Nachos @RM11.80

Nachos @RM11.80.

Nachos is the best appetizer to kick start a meal. And fighting the nachos with friends makes it even tastier. I think the nachos itself is a huge portion already.

Patatas Bravas @RM8.80

Patatas Bravas @RM8.80

This is actually fried potato drenched in sauce.

Sour & Spicy Mexican Buffalo Wings @RM10.80

Sour & Spicy Mexican Buffalo Wings @RM10.80

I love the cucumber served on the side! The chef considered the fact that most people dislike celery hence the replacement with cucumber.

Gambas @RM12.80

Gambas @RM12.80

The bread was so tasty even when eaten on its own. The Shepherdoo actually baked the bread themselves.

Calamari @RM11.80

Calamari @RM11.80.

I love the crispy and juicy calamari. The squids were deep fried but they were still juicy on the inside and not chewy at all!

Mashed Potato @RM4.80

Mashed Potato @RM4.80.

Potatoes made from russet potato,  it is nothing like what you get in the KFC.

Quesadilla @RM10.80

Quesadilla @RM10.80.

All of us loved this quesadilla as each piece is filled with chunks of mushrooms, and it is healthy!

Mexican Pizza @RM8.80

Mexican Pizza @RM8.80.

I am always a fan of thin crust pizza, needless to say, this fits me perfectly! Thin and tasty, and it is just nice for one person. :D

Some time ago, we were introduced a new exciting dining place in Centro Mall @ Klang, The Shepherdoo Restaurant which serves pocket-friendly Latin American food.

Passion Fruit Magarita @RM16.90, Tequla Sunrise @RM16.50

See? My beautiful Passion Fruit Magarita @RM16.90 and Tequla Sunrise @RM16.50.

Did you know that when you drink Magarita, you should drink it together with the salt? The attentitve staff took the time to explain to me the way to drink it, and they do explain to all the customers to ensure maximum satisfaction.

coffee art

The beautiful coffee art.

shepherdoo indoor

The interior. I love the open-kitchen concept as you can see the passion of the chefs when they are preparing your food. :)

This placed is owned by 2 REALLY young and energetic bosses – Eric and Kian Y, together with head chef – Kevin.

Shepherdoo outdoor

The spacious and comfy outdoor overlooking the highway. Perfect for friends gathering!

When the young owners were chatting with us, it was very exciting to see the sparkles in their eyes, and the passion for their business.  They have set very good inspirational examples to the youngsters, and even myself!
