Chinese or Japanese? Your Call at 2 in 1 Buffet @ Nikko Hotel KL

When I go for buffet, I always have this dilemma: Chinese or Japanese?
Peking duck?
Or Unagi?
You see, when I go for Japanese, I think about Chinese food. But when I go dimsum, I think about Unagi.
Life is full of decisions.
When I came to know about the 2 in 1 buffet @ Nikko Hotel KL, I saw the light of solving my dilemma.
Hello Benkay Japanese Restaurant!
When you step into Benkay, you can also order Chinese dishes such as dimsum etc from the 2 in 1 menu.
Once you step into the restaurant, you can see some Japanese settings on your left.
I couldn’t wait to tour the food a bit. The appetizers/salad/oysters/desserts are all served outside the restaurant, plenty of space to move about.Nice!
Some of the chinese appetizers are served in small cute bowls for you to try out.
The teppanyaki section is full of big prawns/beef/lamb!
The tempura section is next to the hot plate.
The sushi and sashimi bar. I love the varieties!
Too bad I do not have a picture of the sashimi, it was so so fresh!
There are huge selections of food, but I shall introduce you my favorites
Sauteed Scallop with Black Pepper and Onion.
Say HELLO to my plate of scallops!
One thing awesome about this buffet is, all the dishes are made to order. So all of them are served fresh and hot!
Sauteed Beef with Ginger and Spring Onions.
The beef was tender and soft, and juicy! Gosh I am starting to miss the food already.
Appetizers: from salmon, codfish, tempura, garlic squid, oysters.
I am a huge fan of strawberries. And of course huge strawberries! Gosh, look at the size O_o
The dessert bar has quite a decent selection of cakes, pastries to fruits.
The 3 types of ice cream to choose from: Green tea, black sesame, and vanilla.
I am not a fan of black sesame, or anything to do with sesame. But I braved to try a little, it was smooth and creamy. Still prefer the green tea though.
A good variety of desserts.
Head Chef of the Toh Lee Chinese Restaurant – Chef Chan.
If you are interested, here is the menu of the buffet:
Buffet is available for dinner on Saturdays (7pm-10.30pm) and lunch on Sundays (12pm to 2.30pm) @ RM118 ++/pax.
Although price is a little steep, but the selection is definitely worth it.
