Warning! Dimsum overloaded and it is halal!
I have been hearing about the raves on their disum in Mandarin Oriental and finally I had the chance to go there! It’s quite a packed sunday noon.
Egg tart- RM8. Mini and crispy!
Crispy yam dumpling with minced chicken – RM8
BBQ chicken ham pastries – RM8.
Everything is yummy.
My fav!!! Deep fried mango prawn rolls – RM8. Crispy and the prawn is so fresh!
Crispy prawn and squid dumpling coated with almond flakes – RM8! Like the prawn but not almond, I hate almonds.
Deep-fried sweet egg custard bun – RM7.
Pouched chicken with shrimp dumplings with scallop sauce – RM7.
Steamed crystal har kao – RM8. The prawn is really fresh!
The star product – steamed chicken siew mai with prawn and fish roes – RM8! BEST!
Check out the big fat juicy 2-tier prawn. It is almost as big as the spoon!
Chicken char siew pau – RM7. I think its not worth it. It is quite tasteless. Nothing can beat pork char siew pao.
Steamed shrimp with dried scallops and glass noodle dumplings – RM8. It tastes the same as har kao but there is no sight of scallop at all!
Steamed vegetarian mushroom and beancurd dough dumplings – RM6.
Bye bye Lai Po Heen, hope to see u soon! Compared to the Tou Yuen, PJ Hilton, this is much more worth it and it is cheaper. Do also know that the portion is smaller.

I prefer dim sum with pork
Oh no! I am salivating already.
Did you try their durian pancake? I am never a fan of durian but their durian pancake is just too diff to resist.
I personally much prefer PJ Hilton compared to Mandarin Oriental when it comes to dimsum. But since people around me are in favour of the latter, I actually find myself patronizing Lai Po Heen more often.:/
You know what, I feel hungry everytime I visit your blog, even after I’ve just eaten!
Eating dim sum at so high class place ar.. I prefer to eat dimsum at roadside one.. hahaha.. hmm PJ paramount got one nice dim sum stalls too..

Lai Po Heen ???? Good value for money….
