DIY Recipe: Hong Bak (Stewed Pork Belly)

In a pressure cooker (if you have), boil some water and throw in the spices. Add a little bit of sugar to season too.
At this point you need not worry about whether it is salty enough or not as you can always add more salt later.
Throw in the fried pork belly, close the cover.
If you use pressure cooker, simmer on low fire for about 15 mins. Open the pressure cooker, turn the meat over and let it simmer for another 10 mins.
Just before you serve, adjust the taste by adding more salt or sugar.
And it is ready for meal!
Alternatively, you can add some tofu and hard boil egg if you would love to have more options.
You will need to cook a little more white rice than usual for this dish.
