Knock yourself out with Pastas @ Food Foundry, Happy Mansion Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya
Posted by sloppychic under Food[13] Comments
I used to stay in Seksyen 17 Petaling Jaya for about 3 years and back then I have practically tried all the eateries around the area. Food Foundry was one of the places that was quite pricey for me as I was still a student.
But not anymore
yeay for money!
Starters
Foundry Caesar Salad – RM12
Love the generous servings of the salad! If you hardly get supply for your greens, you should at least order 1 to share with your company.
Garden Salad – RM8
You can also order Garden Salad if you think Caesar Salad has too much dressings.
Soup of the day – RM8 (Onion Soup) / Sour Dough Bread (price unknown)Â
Tomoto Cream Soup – RM8
Compared to onion soup, I actually prefer this tomato cream soup. It is sourish and creamy, tastes especially good when it is warm, dipped with sour dough bread, it is a bliss.
Main Course
Vongole – RM16
My favorite pasta of the night has to be this clams pasta. As you can see, the servings of clams are really generous and they are fresh! It doesn’t taste like the cheap lala with softer shells. It was really aromatic with a combination of olive oil, garlic, herbs and spices. With a tinge of saltiness, love it!
Lemongrass Prawns in Spicy Volcanic Sauce – RM18
My second favorite pasta of the night would be this Lemongrass Prawns in Spicy Volcanic Sauce. Don’t get scared by the name, it is non-spicy at all (to me), but it was flavorful with the help of lemon grass, and the fat and succulent prawns made it even better.
Aglio Olio Prawns – RM18
This Aglio Olio is actually quite similar to the above pasta, it is just lighter and less spicy herbs.
Seafood Marinara – RM23
If you love tomato-based pasta and seafood, this will be your best bet.
Vegetarian Pasta
If you would like to go vegan, you can always opt for vegetarian pasta. Strangely I think it tastes better than the seafood version.
Smoked Salmon in Cream Sauce – RM17
I love this cream sauce as it is not sickeningly creamy, and you will have no problem finishing all by yourself.
However, I still prefer Aglio Olio kind of pastas.
Food Foundry Chicken Chop – RM16
Lying on mashed potato and drizzled with black pepper gravy, this chicken thigh was grilled to perfection.
 Chicken Cordon Bleu – RM17
Chicken deep fried with cheese and ham is a recommended dish, good to eat it hot.
Moroccan Lamb Shank – RM26
Nasi Ulam with Ayam Percik – RM14
While the ayam percik is good, I am not a fan of nasi ulam. But, it is one of the best-selling dish of Food Foundry. So you can think that it is quite a hit dish.
It is located on the Happy Mansion ground floor around the corner, opens from 11.30am to 10pm daily.
