There is so much I want to write about my trip in Krabi, and looking at the pictures, I realized that I have too much to write.

sun-tanning

Upon arrival at our hotel – Phra Nang Inn, this was my first sight of the blue sea, some man sun-tanning there like some salted fish. The sun in Krabi seemed 1000000x stronger than sun in Malaysia.

our hotel

Ta dah! Our hotel. It is more like a chalet style. I think there are only about 40 rooms there. Neat and tidy. And it is cheap! It is about less than RM200/nite/room.

neat and comfy bed

Awww look at the bed! Nice and tidy.

toilet

Bathroom is nicely decorated as well.

menu in thai

We were dead hungry after checking in. There were 13 of us, so we rented 7 motorbikes to go around the places. You do not need a license, or a helmet to ride in the town. We had our lunch by this roadside stall.

salad

Our appetizer- Some raw taugeh. Not my type of food. In fact, we waited very very long for our food to arrive. We must be the first customer of the day, they had to go marketing to get our food!

first pad thai

Pad Thai! Not bad at all. I wonder why all the prawns there are not as fresh as I had expected…

first green curry

Green curry. Too watery and I think our local green curry is better than that.

first tomyam

Of course, what’s thailand without tomyam soup? Well, this tomyam soup is not really up to my expectations. I had high expectations since it is my first time in Thailand.

first pineapple fried rice

Pineapple fried rice, the bits of pineapple were too ripe though. We ordered 3 sets of this food, and it cost us about RM150 or RM180 for 13 of us. Although it wasn’t that fabulous, but we were too hungry to care.

Coming up more in part II.
