petrol station

Right after lunch, the first thing we did was searching for a petrol station, or they call it gasoline there. Petrol in Ao Nang is more expensive compared to Krabi town due to the fact that they have to transport the petrol from the town to small town. It is RM4.30/l. Luckily motorbikes are very fuel-efficient. The meter in the middle is actually for display only. They have to manually pump the petrol up then use the lever to adjust the amount of petrol that you want to buy.

traditional hose

Even the hose is very old school…

tropical herbal spa & resort

After that, we decided to treat ourselves to a spa. After scouting around few places, we found the cheapest spa package we thought. RM90 for jacuzzi, steam and an hour of thai-massage.

resort

Ta dah! Tropical Herba Spa & Resort. Nice place indeed. Everything is natural there.

jacuzzi

The jacuzzi. Well, i think it’s not really worth it to pay RM90 for this package. Massages there are damn cheap, only at RM20/30/40 per an hour.

tea time at spa

But, at least we were treated tea and desserts there after our spa.

macd

After the massage, we went straight to McDonalds, to try out their pork burger.

menu

I think fast food is very expensive there..one set cost at least RM10, while the pork burger set cost RM14.40 for regular, and another RM1.50 to upsize.

XL fries

I had the largest fries of my life. Their regular there is like our large here, and the large is like XXL!

pork burger!

Yum…the pork burger. In fact, it did not taste like pork at all. It is something more like beef I think.

street lights

After the dinner, we went around the Ao Nang town on our bike. It is actually very happening, stalls only close about 11 or so. They have quite many western restaurants there as well!

unique stuff

And they have all sorts of these unique wood handicraft stuff. I didn’t buy any though, since I am not a fan of any of these decorations.

Our first day in Ao Nang ended after a short walk. We were dead tired.
