Since it was last day of the year, we decided to end it with a meal that we had not tried before. And Marche (pronounced as mar-shay) that is. Many people have been there but not me. It was before 7pm so we managed to get a seat without having to Q. And we were given a Marche card each where you present it at the stalls you order food from, they will stamp your card and just give it to the cashier when you foot your bill. Beware that loss of Marche card will get you a penalty of RM200.

interior

Marche means market place, and therefore it has separate stalls just like the market. Except for the fact that it does not stink, and non-slippery, and air-conditioned.

grill

They have sections like: salad, grill, pizza, pasta, rosti, fruit juice, cold beverages and etc. I was attracted by the roast turkey breast set from this Grill stall.

roasted turkey + mashed potato

My roasted turkey breast! It is about the size of my palm at RM16.50, and topped up another RM1.50 for mashed potato, or RM5.90 for a baked potato. Surprisingly, this breast is not hard at all. But of course, it is not as juicy as steak or chicken. Love it me. You have a choice of black pepper or mushroom sauce on the side.

rosti

My bf is a potato fan, and Rosti is a stall where they have all the potato dish.

rosti turkey with beef sausage

Rotisserie with chicken and cheese. RM16.50 + RM9 for the beef jumbo sausage with cheese. This rosti dish is something like pan-frying potato in thin strips together with chicken and cheese, so they basically stink together. Very delicious!

bundaberg rootbeer

And we shared this funky root beer, RM8.90. It is carbonated but not as gassy as the normal rootbeer.

The bill for this meal was about RM60. Satisfying :D

marche the curve

The xmas deco is still up and we will definitely go back there again! :D

After the dinner, we went starbucks to kill time before the countdown. The countdown? oh well, i don’t feel like talking about it. LOL.

Happy 2009 to all of you! :D
