Long-post ahead.

Finally it’s tuesday!!! and i am going to watch The Ugly Truth tonight. ^_^

Last weekend, I watched concert, for the first time in my life! Thanks to wilson to gave me the tickets!

MLTR concert tickets

Genting was packed to the max, but we were lucky to get a room in First World hotel. Although it smelt mouldy and.. what not, at least we had a place to bunk for the night!

foodcourt

Before the concert, we decided to explore the food court in First World for dinner. What attracted us the most was the aroma of bak kut teh…

bak kut teh yao tiu

A pot of bkt for 2 – RM32+. One white rice for RM2, and yao-char-kuai costs RM3.50.

The bill came to about RM46+, compared to 2 sets of MacD lunch @ RM37, bkt didn’t seem so bad.

But, the meat was pathetic. It was…fatty. The soup was actually quite good but just too oily for my liking. Oh well, since it is Genting, I am not complaining much.

crowd in arena of stars

It was 9pm and the hall was packed!!!! All waiting eagerly for the appearance of Michael Learns to Rock.  Btw, professional cameras (DSLR) are not allowed into the hall.

michael learns to rock concert

Finally! It started about 9.20pm. And the crowd was excited!

I remember started listening to their songs since I was ..14, during the Paint My Love era. I was really excited about the fact that they performed all the old and famous hits. Sadly, their new songs are almost never played on the radio here. I wonder why.

The concert ended around 11.20pm and I continued to linger around Starbucks till I was really tired.

I slept till 10.30am the next day and checked out straight for brunch at Gohtong Jaya.

chuan kee restaurant

My usual hang out – Chuan Kee restaurant.

claypot tauhu

Claypot tauhu @ RM10.00 is always my fav. But too bad it apparently is not their signature dish there. I like it with egg in the pan.

pork belly salted fish claypot

The signature dish – salted fish with pork belly in clapypot @ RM13.00.

Needless to say, it was really good!!!

vegetable

3-heavenly kings @RM10.00.

After the brunch, i was excited to visit the Strawberry Fields around Hotel Seri Malaysia. They have just built the signboards so you will not miss it for sure.

gohtong jaya strawberry fields

Now, no more dizzy roads to Cameron Highlands just for strawberries.

touch me not plant

And….I found touch-me-not!!!! It’s been years since I last saw it. I wonder if kids in the future will still be able to see this plant or not. I touched the plant with my finger, and OUCH! No good. Always touch it with your foot with shoes on instead.

My dad used to bring me to the place with lots of touch-me-nots when I was young. :)

entrance

The first view upon entering the strawberry fields.

14

It’s quite a big place!

strawberry fields

And..loaded with strawberries!

strawberry deformed

Awwww see how cute this strawberry is? It is deformed but it is cute nonetheless. I wish I could steal the piece.

products

They do have other strawberry merchandizes for sale.

price for strawberry

Purchase a box of strawberry for RM15.00. It is expensive I know, but I bought it nonetheless.

Afterall, that’s the whole point of visiting a strawberry farm right?

I <3 strawberries!
