Familiar with this shop but haven’t stepped into the shop before?
And yes I have finally been there after reading so many reviews.
This New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice is located along Jalan Gasing, opposite to KWSP building and next to a church. It was hell packed during lunch time!
I was surprised to see quite an extensive menu, and the waiters took order with PDA. O_o chicken rice makes big bucks!
We ordered kampung chicken for 2, and it cost us RM12! The normal chicken should be RM4/person.
And a meatball soup @ RM6.
And you know what’s the best part is?
It is the fact that you have to pay separately for the rice!!! One serving of rice @ RM1.60.
O_o now I know why is it expensive.
Though the rice was pretty good, but i am not sure if i will return there for more chicken rice, I simply do not really feel like paying RM10+/head for just chicken rice.

I’d been there few times before. When prices started skyrocketing through the roof, I stopped. I thought it was good but not great.

No wonder they charge so high… for their PDAs!

been there many times but i didn’t go there for their chicken rice because it is just so so..
my main purpose is their ginger garlic lala… is one of the best around by far.. chicken is secondary side dishes.. too bad u didn’t order that..
usually i will order that first and on some season, no stock for lala.. i will leave without ordering anything..
I went there last year. Quite famous chicken rice there. Roasted pork nice too. Unfortunately all the waiter are foreigner.

Nice chicken rice. drooling now. Use PDA for orders? Now getting more and more high tech.

havent been to the PJ 1 in damn long..but the 1 in sri petaling is not bad for a quick meal..

talking bout food…de ipoh chicken rice is solid,fresh and serve hot,hot…i do go places and its good to try new dishes…if you looking for new place to open i got place and contact me at 016-283-6739 where you see de food paradise with regards rickyd ipoh road kuala lumpur.
Hey , if you been to ipoh , go to restaurant central for thie chicken rice !…its good and cheap too….
