So, we have all heard and seen about the famous Old Town White Coffee everywhere. And, there is even a pirate now!
Check out their sign! Isn’t it so similar to old town?

This is old town, in case you forget the logo.
The new Old Taste Ipoh White Coffee is in Kluang, Johor. Of course, I must pay a visit to check out the teh and the toast.
Their interior design.
Even their setting is 99% similar to all other branded coffee shops.
This is their ‘stockin milk tea’ ( si mat lai cha). RM1.90. Hmmm I think it was so-so. Nothing special.
Their garlic bread toast. Not very impressive either. RM3.90.
Their nissin noodles. Ah this is not bad, but I guess this is the same everywhere? This is RM7.90 or something.
So, this Old Taste in the kluang small town is nothing cheaper compared to the Old Town and etc. Located in not a big town, i think the price is high.

mwahaha… if you don’t tell me that it’s a ciplak, i also dunnu..
now that you say it’s a ciplak, i really think ‘they’ may have bring it too far…
What time was it? How come so empty? I thought people needed to queue up for seats.
mossie: mebbe u should try it yourself hehe
weilian: crowded all time, i went like about 8+ after dinner so it was still ok
don’t want lah go and let them cheat my money…

have u all try out the Old Taste at Malacca? If u said their menu are same with Old Town, then u are wrong. Malacca do have Old Town too, but Old Taste is my lepak place. Their hazelnut white coffee is my favourite. but somethings different for Old Taste Malacca, their foods sre totally different.Server hot and even have “wat tan hor”, pineapple fried rice, ikan bilis fried and many more. I do went to Taipan’s Old Taste, i cant found this foods over there. isnt there are francies?
Boney: well, i have never been to the old taste in malacca. But again, don’ u think most of the food in these types of cafe are similar to a certain extend? i am not saying that all are bad, it is just that, i can’t find one that i love the most
emm..then maybe u shd try out the Malacca Old Taste. where i found tat their foods a bit different.I agree with u only for the drinks. All are almost the same lo…
Will you provide me the principal owner of the OLDTASTE KOPITIAM’s contact address and is this KOPITIAM A franchise businss?
Thanks
From: Chong YK
cykmsb@yahoo.com
Chong YK: errr i dont know anything abt the owner or franchise-ship. but i believe its a franchise biz.
haaa…u all wrong already lo. According the news that i got from Malacca Old Taste lady boss, they are not franchies eh.All belong to a same boss and they are partnership with their boss. No wonder their foods can different in every outlets la.I been to Old Taste Taipan and SS 2. Aduh…their mee goreng and fried mee hoon, very bad la. Very hard n dry!Gv Dog also dun1 eat eh.. But Old Taste Malacca different, was served hot and good taste..Im thinking ar,like that very not fair to Old Taste Malacca becos of bad image at Old Taste Taipan n SS 2….
Just now I’m went to Kluang Old Taste, I’m order the coffee the taste so sour. This was the old taste coffee taste? Think mamak kopitiam better than your coffee. I’m would back to this shop again
OOO….how come ar?? but Malacca Old Taste at Malim very famous lei..Im also very curious too,Malacca have two Old Taste, 1 at Melaka Raya and another 1 at Malim. I been to Melaka Raya Old Taste, wao! very very different! drink & foods so so, the evironment also so so. I like the Malim Old Taste, the foods & drinks very good and service also ok. I dont know la..very weird too….any1 can find out again??!!
Agreed, boney. Malim old taste has more varieties including ‘taichao’. Few house specialities such as ‘wa tan ho’, fried wantan and curry mee are the must try food. I would say the wa tan ho is even better than some restaurant..yummy yummy!! Fried wantan is so so so crispy and supprisingly not oily. My friend said the owner has hired the chef from one of the restaurant, i think that is the reason why the food is different from other kopitiam la. I always try different type of drinks everytime i visit. So far all are quite good especially hazelnut coffee, honey lemon and orange coffee.
Irnee: thanks for the info. looks like malim has the best old taste eh? will visit there if i have the chance to go!
YOH! finally there is some1 trust me..haha…i didnt lie oo…Old Taste Melaka really different from KL Old Taste eh…very guai 1..haha…but i dun k lar,cos i jz enjoy the foods at MLK Old Taste…
So!do any people hv old taste boss contact?
boney: too bad i won’t have a chance to try the old taste in mlk anytime soon
sunsky: errr no idea. u want to open another franchise?
