Finally I have got the time to blog! I went for some pro-writing and microsoft excel advanced training, and yeah i am a pro now! Though i haven’t got the time to write, but i do eat!
Jaya33 is a place that I have only been twice, and both times were for the Nagomi Shabu Shabu.
This time, is, Oriental Pavilion. It is a hot spot for wedding dinner! When I went for the dinner, there was a wedding reception as well.
Tauhu with spinach and mushroom (至尊鸳鸯豆è…) @ RM20.The gravy was really tasty, and the tauhu was tastily soft. I like the combination of spinach and taohu, since there were only 4 of us, hence 4 pcs of tauhu.
The ultimate: claypot preserved vege fatty ribs (钵忢…èœçƒ¤éª¨ ) @ RM30. This dish was seriously flavorful! Gosh, the gravy went really really well with white rice! Not a fatty pork eater, but the meat was soft and tender. Ahhh…heaven.
Fried ma-yao fish with special sauce (顺德煎酿马å‹é±¼) @ RM38.
Though this was special, it was also a disappointment though. The fish meat was actually pounded into fish paste and molded back to the fish. The sauce was good but the fish was not fresh, and it was quite fishy.
Food was okay overall, and clean environment. Quite a good place to host your relatives or family.
On first level of Jaya33, next to Ace Hardware.

Food… always the basic thing for us to enjoy ourselves..
Almost wanted to go there last month for a dinner gathering. But last minute changed to another place. Maybe will try it in the future!
I thought Jaya33 is in section 13?
Does this restaurant have service charge?
jaya33 is at seksyen 13
Want to take a bite on the fatty ribs. So tempting.
Passed by this restaurant a couple of times before. Dunno want to go in or not. If my dad sees that fatty ribs, he’ll drag us in right away! haha
keeyit: yeah regardless of where we are ^_^
foongpc: should try it out one day!
Khengsiong: now i think it is in sec 13 too. lol. yeah of coz there is service charge
CK: juicy n fat!
Che-Cheh: wah yr dad pork lover? he should try this! oh yeah, jcard meember get 10% off the bill!
Aiyo …. you didn’t order their soups. Their soups are to die for.
Wait till you see my post on this restaurant. But you need to wait though for my backlogs.
The preserved veggie alone can make me finish my bowl of rice
Don’t even bother with this restaurant. The food is badm the service is worse. We ordered the Peking Duck in advance, and they served us another type of duck.Worse, they said it’s our fault and we should just accept the duck that’s already cooked. If you are served by this waitress Lee Mei, better run for your life! Her sullen looks and hot temper are enough to grill any duck. I definitely wouldn’t go back, not even for a wedding.
i’ve been there for wedding… taste fine..
agree with SY but i don’t remember their names and it isn’t just that waitress named Lee mei has ill temper ALL of them are as bad .. Pffft i experienced their ‘excellent’ service today
Very, very, very bad service. I called to book. Got passed around. Spoke to a lady and placed the booking and get the menu. Called a few days later to decide on the dishes. Called again a few days later because they were supposed to get back to me on the quotation but didn’t. They wanted to know who I spoke to earlier as this piece of info was “vital” to them to get back to me. (I don’t care who I spoke to!! I placed a booking in my name!! And I placed an order in my name!! How many record books do you ppl keep in Oriental Pavilion!!) Since I could not remember, they said they’ll call me back once they find out. I had to call them back and ask them bout the quote and the lady said “I forgot. Very busy.”. In all, it took me 3 weeks to get a quote for a family dinner of 18 pax!!!
yeah, services are bad… been there 1 time on last weekend. food so so only.
