It’s been long since I last continued from my Korea trip, but here it is
On our 4th day in Korea, we decided to explore our way to Everland, it is a theme park, with the world’s largest wooden roller coaster!
Exiting from Gangnam Exit 6 (subway station), we began our journey finding our way to Everland.
The roads in Korea are huge and there are bus stops in the middle lane. Therefore it is really hard to find a certain bus stop unless you know the way in and out.
We had to ask some strangers for direction because we walked for 15 mins and still could not find the bus stop to Everland. It was tough as it was either most people did not understand us, or they did not know how to explain to us.
And finally 30 mins later we found it! The bus 5002 that goes Everland.
Hello bus 5002. We only waited for less than 5 mins for the bus to arrive.
As early as 11am in the morning on a week day, the road was packed and all the vehicles moved closely with each other.
After about an hour’s of bus ride, we finally reached our destination! Although it was sunny, it was also windy and quite cold.
We were excited to explore the place we have read so much in the booklet.
74,000 Korean Won for 2 persons (~ RM236) for a one-day pass.
What greeted us was a sea of tulips! Pretty! It felt so blissful to see colorful flowers at that moment, totally lightened up our day already.
Then we saw some stalls selling really cute hairbands. I didn’t get any though because it was quite useless..and not so cheap! (Don’t judge me!)
It was a huge place and there are a few sections in the park:
- Four Seasons Garden of Everland
- Zootopia
- Caribbean Bay
- Everland Speedway
- Spooky’s Fun House
The magical tree where everyone Q to snap pictures at.
There is a cable car station where the cable car will take you to a slope down to Zootopia. I think the name Human Sky sounded really creepy though.
It’s an open cable car but very safe as there is netting as lining underneath.
There are not many animals in Zoo Topia, but at least they have a cute polar bear! It was waiting for food from other visitors.
White tigers were lying around lazily. At least the weather was cool!
After seeing some other dogs and birds and monkeys, it was lunch time!
Sad to say, there is no proper restaurant in Everland, other than stalls selling sausages and popcorn.
A nice huge sausage.
And some flour stick with fillings inside, it tasted like cheesy mushroom fillings but it was good.
Obviously 2 items were not enough for the hungry us. Then we found the Burger Cafe.
Another set to share. The burger was only mediocre. A bit on the drying side.
After lunch, we continued walking around and we took a ride.
It flung really high. Almost up to 90 degrees. Thank goodness I kept the lunch well in my stomach
Then we proceeded to walk around taking some pictures.
A beautiful Holland Village, there was band playing in the cafe too.
More bright and vibrant tulips were blooming all over the places.
And…if you scrutinize, you can see the world’s largest wooden roller coaster. Yeah I kid you not, it’s WOOD. And we could hear screamings every 30 second coming from that direction.
See? It’s HUGE! No matter which corner you are at, you can still see the roller coaster. If you may ask, I did not take the ride though. The Q was long and I did not think my heart could take the pressure.
More snacks before heading back by bus again.
It was a great day walking and exploring without sweating a single bit.
As tired as we were, we bought express bus ticket to Jinhae that night itself! Will post up my sakura adventure soon!
