Relaxing Afternoon Tea at the Huckle Berry Cafe – Bangsar Shopping Center
Posted by sloppychic under Food[9] Comments
What do you say to a leisure afternoon tea at a nice cozy cafe?
Although it is located in Times bookstore in Bangsar Shopping Center, but Huckle Berry Cafe is not owned by Times bookstore.
The small yet compact area. You can choose to seat on the couch if you wanna munch and read at the same time.
They have quite a variety of pastries selections in the cafe.
They are also selling interesting Bickford’s bottled drinks -RM7/bottle.
One of them is Sarsaparilla. It tasted really sarsi-ish but less carbonated.
My drinks of the night – iced mocha and iced chocolate. I love the chocolate as it was sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet.
Now, here comes the main course – Spinach and Bacon Quiche (RM 9), Mushroom and Onion Quiche (RM 9), Beef Rendang Cornish (RM 9).
I actually prefer this Spinach and Bacon Quiche specially when it is still warm.
It is soft, eggy, and tasty!
Dessert time!
Humming Bird Cake – RM9 & Classic Choclate Cake – RM9
Guinness Chocolate Cake RM9, Lemon Mousse Pot – RM6, Baked Cheesecake – RM8
The Guinness Chocolate Cake tastes so much like the chinese ‘huat kuih’, except for the fact that it has more moist, more chocolate and with Guinness!
Whoopie Pie – RM5/pc.
Apparently, Whoopie pie is big in the US now, and it is much bigger in size too!
It is hard for you to judge the size from this picture, but it covers 50% of my palm! You can see Andrew’s picture here how I chomped down the pie.
Ah! Mille Crepes – Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry – RM10/slice.
As much as I love strawberries, but I love the vanilla (original) flavor mille crepe!
It is layers of satisfaction, not layers of calories!
A bowl of cute macarons – RM2.50/pc.
I particularly enjoyed the green tea one, it has the right green tea flavour, it is crispy, airy and soft in the middle.
Bowl of macarons anyone?
