Other than my usual Teluk Pulai spot, I hardly eat bkt elsewhere. For a change of light bkt, think this is the place to go.

Even the shop name is easy to remember, Ah San. And it is right next to 747Â hawker center.
The rice is abit different from the normal oil rice. It is not yam, but it is something like herbal. One thing to compliment is their yau-char-guai. It is really crispy! Unlike the usually soft and cold one.
And the soup! It is so minimal and simple. When i was asked whether i wanted to add extra enoki mushrooms or fu-chuk or not, i said no coz i thought they come by default. But i was wrong! There was nothing else other than the lean pork ribs i ordered. Surprisingly, the soup is really light and sweet, with some strong herbal smell. No frill, but I enjoyed it!
Together with a pot of chinease tea, a meal for 2 was RM23. I would say it is not cheap considering that there is nothing else in the soup.

Haven’t had any bkt for years! My favorite in any bkt meal is the yau char guai.
Sg way also got one ah san bkt
I don’t normally eat bkt but I think I like this no frill bkt though slightly expensive. And I try to avoid yau char guai though it’s very delicious, cos it’s bad for health.
Btw, do drop by my blog and join in the Guess This Song contest : )
Kinda expensive imo without the mushrooms and fu chuk.
I like Fu Chuk and You Char Guai in my bah kut teh the most~ hahaha
Looks nice, haven’t had bkt for a long time.
Haven’t been to Dataran Prima for quite some time. Good to check out this place!
With yau char guai is nice. Yum
Neo: wah kua???? havent eaten for years???
keeyit: ooh is that a HQ?
foongpc: wah so health conscious! i bet u are a girl!
Jian: ^5! fu chuk is my fav!!!!
Irenelim: SO NICE! u should go have it soon!
peteformation: actually its my first time there too!
Che-Cheh: esp crispy yau char guai!
xin, having to indulge a bowl of BKT is so expensive this days. A bowl of BKT in claypot can cost more than RM50, I mean just a basic pot. So I meat BKT moderately lol!
No frills? Meat is more expensive than fu-chuk mah… So if you ask for meat only it’s gonna to cost more.
Big Boys Oven: i totally agree with u! meal for 5, just the soup, without anything else can easily cost up to rm80!!!
Khengsiong: errrr coz i didnt know by default it only comes with meat. she asked me whether i wanted to ADD fuchuk or not, i tot by default all bkt come with fu chuk???
No claypot?
the soup look like no kick..
and i prefer BKT in claypot because the soup will stay warm longer..
but still i’m a sucker for BKT.. i will try this no matter what.. muahahaha..
my fav still the LDP BKT and Ah Sang BKT… both also 5min drive from my house.. ah heaven!
Me no eat them piggies
That is my favourite food. But I like the fatty part and drink lots of chinese tea.
went to tried it yesterday after reading here..
The bad..
the soup is too plain.. no power at all..
no fuu chuk
no claypot
The good..
yeah yau char guai still semi crispy
auto soup refil…
surprisingly cheap for a bkt!
Wow u went? Yeah i too find tht the soup no kick since its really very basic and light. But for me its a different change frm the thick one i usually have. and its indeed sad without claypot. Love the yaucharguai too! How much was yr meal?
This is one of my favourite spots for bkt. Try ordering the yat chi kuat, its alot of lean meat, pretty tender. Or the wong ji kuat (Emperor’s bone). The meat falls of the bone for that one. haha.
my meal ended up for RM21.40 for the 2 of us.. pretty cheap.. coz my all time favourite bkt place usually end up RM24 for the same thing..
