Valentine’s day is just 3 days away, and have you thought of where to go? If you have not…perhaps I can inspire you a little..
VICTORIA STATION!!!
I pass by this place everyday coz i am just staying 2 roads away and I thought it is a madly expensive dining place coz i see big cars park there all the time. Couldn’t get much info from google, so we decided to venture this place ourselves.
It was quiet in the evening as it was only about 6 and crowd had not started to flow in. We had a troop of waiters standing-by next to us and it felt like we were bring monitored. lol.
I was surprised to find that the price is actually quite okay for the brand. And….there is no menu for drinks! It is either water, sparkling juice at RM49.90, and red/white wine. For the price of sparkling juice, I might as well get a lobster. So, water it was.
Starter: The OH-SO-DELICIOUS homemade oxtail soup. RM11.90. It was so so tasty! With some beef chunks in it too! Wish I could gulp the bowl in too.
My main: Grill VS fillet steak & scallop – RM43.90. Can you spot the scallop? I expected a few of it and i was shocked to find only ONE piece of scallop… O_o. Oh, the scallop is right on top of the meat.
The meat was quite tender. I ordered medium but I think it would be better if it were medium rare.
My bf’s main: Sizzling steak at RM36.90. It was piping hot and the sizzling pan cooked the steak further. So…better go medium rare as well.
Salad comes with the sizzling steak.
A meal like this cost about RM107. But I believe they might have a special menu for Valentine’s. And it is better to make a reservation if you really want to go there.

i’ve had the soup before. really delicious!
I will be on call. Standby at home, can’t go anywhere :’(
The soup looks like laden with lots of ingredients~~
Got lenglui belanja me or not? whahaha…
Oh, so you stay around there! I passed by this place once or twice a week, but never did go in! I think people said it was good last time, but not so nice now.
Well, the food look kinda nice, but the price is crazy! Especially for the sparkling juice – are they kidding me? I can eat one nice delicious meal at Chili’s with that price!
If normal day also so expensive, I can’t imagine what it’s like on Valentine’s Day!
From the picture, I think I know which Victoria’s Station that is.
You should try Jake’s, which is just next to OCBC there. Excellent steaks.
mie: Jake’s? ooh it looks so low profile. will try there one day!
Once you try Jake’s you won’t want VS anymore.
Because, by then, you will realise how lousy the food at VS is.
